20% Project – Week 6

For my week 6 20% project I finished my clay art and finished my last few parts of my trifold. It turned out good and I was proud of myself. I did some final details on the elephant and added some fake moss to my project so it would look more realistic. Once I finished that I let it sit and I had already cooked my project so that the clay would harden and it would be easier to paint and stuff like that. Once I had finished up that part I decided that I wanted to add a few realistic looking flowers to my trifold to really go with the miss look that was currently drying on the bottom of my elephants feet in my room. I went outside and picked off some decent looking flowers and added them to my trifold. That same day I attended the 20% night and had a great time.

20% Project Week 5

This week I started my trifold instead of continuing on my clay project since it was at home, and it had to sit out for the clay to harden. I s added paper to my trifold and made started attempting to make some cursive letters making clay art. After I finished writing clay art on my project, I started to glue the paper on each side and write materials on one side and how it was made on the other. Once I had finished the words, I researched some good ideas with clay and started thinking about more things and ideas I could add to my trifold. I saw flowers on one of the examples and I knew I really wanted to add real flowers onto my 20% trifold. I was going to add some tape onto the edges of my board, but I decided that I would rather not and just keep the flowers the way it was. That concluded my week 5.

My Three Favorite Memories

The seventh grade has been a rollercoaster of lots of fun memories but I have 3 favorite memories. My first one is the time where Maks taught our core class for around 10 minutes while Ms. Moffat pretended like she was Maks and talked to Teak. Just minutes later Maks pulled off the band off his croc and the class laughed about it. My second memory is when all my friends would sit one our favorite bench and we would have a fun time during lunch and snack. My last memory is the 20% project night. It was so fun and funny, and I had a great time with all my friends.

My Favorite Woman

A woman that has had an impact on my life is my Aunt Rebecca has mad a very big impact on my life because she has taught me to do things that no other woman has before. She has helped me with a lot of things but the thing I love most about her is her cooking. Her and my Uncle Paul usually host Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and sometimes Easter if necessary. She even taught me how to ride horses. That’s another thing about her that I love. They have four or three horses, 3 Great Danes, chickens, and a donkey. That’s why I always love going over to her house because I get to see all of the animals and feed them. It’s so fun to ride the horses and hang out with the dogs 2x my size. I genuinely see her as a second mom to me and wish her a happy Mother’s Day

Unravel Me – RAD READING – April

Unravel Me

This month I read Unravel me by Tehereh Mafi.

Unravel Me is a continuation of Shatter Me and it starts off with Juliette going to a place where she will stay for most of the book. Juliette ends things with Adam and try’s to become more independent and Adam can’t accept that.

this book wasn’t my favorite but it was alright. I liked this book because I was happy like Juliette and Adam had finally broken up and she can be with Warner. I disliked this book because it was quite boring in most parts.

My favorite character is Warner. I like him a lot more from the next book but Warners character development was really shocking in this book and I really enjoyed it.

My favorite quote is “hope is stronger than fear. It is stronger than anything” I don’t really know how to explain the quote without giving away the ending but it all really made sense once the author wrote this quote.

20% project – Week 3

For my 20 percent project this week I decided to change what I am going to do my project on and I decided that I’m going to make an elephant instead of making an octopus. I started by sketching out my wire and started to sketch out the design on top of the wire with another color marker. My plan is to get started to molding the clay next week once I start to finalize my wire concept. Next week I plan on getting at least halfway done. Starting out by getting any tools I need to sculpt the art and make any small details that are important. Like the elephants wrinkles for example. So this week I started off strong and plan on staying on schedule with my 20% project.

My Favorite Room

My favorite room in my home is probably my room. I really like my room because I have a comfy bed and I love to keep it clean. The only problem is that it has a sliding glass door and it’s huge so I can’t put anything there. There is also a pretty large window on the other side of my room and my blinds are not the best at covering my windows. But it’s also a good thing because in case of a fire or any emergency I could just run out my door. I also love my room because that’s where I get ready in the morning and where I do my hair and all that stuff. I also have a custom closet so it just makes getting ready and picking out an outfit in the morning so much better. So that’s why I love my room so much.

20% project – week 2

This week for my 20 perfect project I finished my sketch and now all I am waiting to get my wire so I can start putting my wire together. This week I started off by using my apple pencil to scetch out my first drawing. Obviously it didnt go as planned and I had to try at least 5 times. Once I have my final drawing I plan on making adjustments on that and maybe make a whole new idea. I would start by sketching out than starting on another concept. But that’s just only an idea. I currently need to sketch it out on my iPad in 2 different colors. One representing the wire under the clay and the other representing the color over the wire. That will be my overall plan next week and hopefully it will be a better week than my project sketch this week.

Nightmares

People tend to ask me why I can never go back to sleep when I wake up, the answer is quite simple, nightmares. That I get whenever I go to sleep. I don’t get them when I first go to sleep at night it’s whenever I fall back asleep. When I was younger it wasn’t really a problem and they weren’t really scary since I was just a kid. I used to get them all the time when I was around 8-9 but it stopped once I hit the age 11 and I thought that I didn’t have to worry about it anymore but in the middle of the year it started to happen again. When in the middle of the school year last year they started up again but they weren’t often at all. The only problem was they were lucid dreams. It’s where basically when your aware you’re in a dream but you don’t know how to wake up. They stopped happening but all of them were lucid. I always knew I was in a dream. But that just made them a lot scarier since they felt real. An example of once of my dreams are things that usually happen that day and turn it into a traumatic event. Like yesterday I was feeling dizzy and nauseous. In my dream my friends decided to jaywalk and all of them got hit by cars. I don’t know what was wrong with me but I was so dizzy that I couldn’t even walk across the street. I backed up and my friends went getting hit by cars and I don’t want to get into the gruesome scene but it’s still impacted me to this day since the dream was just yesterday.

20% Project – Week 1

This week I was coming up with ideas to create my clay sculpture. I started by making sure it was okay with Mrs. Moffat that I could take out my phone and I used to to google some ideas and things I was curious about because I do not have my clay yet nor the metal to make sure it stays how I want it. I also want to make sure that I had the correct kind of clay for any ideas I had gotten from on the internet.I made a list of things I had found on the internet and put it onto a doc so all my ideas are spread out ready to go. I have all of my supplies ready and I’m going to bring them this Friday to get started. My supplies are clay, clay tools, and more clay. My plan is to make an octopus so hopefully that idea stays.
